The Governing Board, part of the Administrative Board which determines its tasks, consists of nine members:
- President, Prof. Lorenzo Ornaghi (University President).

five members elected by the Administrative Board from among the members nominated by the Istituto Giuseppe Toniolo di Studi superiori:
- prof. Giuseppe BERTONI;
- prof. Vincenzo CESAREO;
- avv. Giuseppe GERVASIO;
- prof. Felice MARTINELLI;
- prof. p. Francesco MATTESINI.

three members, elected by first and second level professors from among the first level professors of the Universitą Cattolica on the Administrative Board:
- prof. Agostino FUSCONI;
- prof. Bruno GIARDINA;
- prof. Marco ELEFANTI.
- The Administrative Director, elected by advisory vote, who also serves as Board Secretary.
The Administrative Director sits in the Administrative Board meetings.
Tasks: ( the duties of the Administrative Board during the preliminary phase are as follows:).
- Increase or decrease the number of faculty members and research assistants;
- Analyze budget and financial reports of the Universitą Cattolica, including those concerning the Policlinico universitario "A.Gemelli";
- Determine yearly tuition costs;
- Examine proposals on variations concerning budget and financial operations;
- Purchase and sell university real estate;
- Activate or close colleges, programs, schools, departments.
